Free website audit: the problems your visitors never mention
The audit is free and there is nothing to sign. We open your site the way a stranger does, time it on a mid-range phone, count the clicks it takes to reach a human, and read the raw HTML your server sends to search engines and AI crawlers. Findings come back by email within one business day.

The problem
You cannot see the visitors you lost
The people who left are the ones you never hear from. That is what makes a website so easy to run on instinct for years.
Nobody emails to say the contact form broke on their phone. Nobody mentions that your homepage took nine seconds to appear on hotel wifi, or that they gave up hunting for a price and opened a competitor’s tab instead. People do not file complaints about websites. They leave. You find out months later, in a quarter that came in soft, and by then there is nothing left to trace.
There is a newer version of the same blind spot. Someone asks ChatGPT or Perplexity for a company like yours, and you have no way of knowing what those tools saw before they answered. Vercel measured this and published it on December 17, 2024, in a study called “The rise of the AI crawler”: none of the major AI crawlers currently render JavaScript. GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot do download your JavaScript files. They simply never run them. So if your pages are assembled in the browser, what those crawlers receive is an empty shell.
What we check
Five viewpoints, and your buyer’s comes first
Every axis is judged from your visitor’s chair rather than a developer’s. You get findings you can act on, not a dashboard of metrics.
The first ten seconds
We open your site cold, then three competitors in the tabs beside it, and write down what we understood about each business before scrolling. That side by side is usually the most uncomfortable page of the report.
How long the page takes to appear
We time it. When we build, we aim for under 2.5 seconds on a mid-range phone over 4G, and we hold your site to the same stopwatch. Past that point some visitors are already gone, and nothing in your analytics will ever tell you they were there.
How it behaves in one hand
Most of your traffic arrives on a phone. We test what breaks there: tap targets too small to hit, a menu that buries your phone number, a form that asks for a date without giving a date picker, body text you have to pinch to read.
How hard you are to reach
We count the clicks from your homepage to a working way of contacting you. Then we count again from your pricing page, and from the blog post someone landed on straight from Google. Every dead end gets a screenshot.
What search engines and AI assistants receive
We request your pages the way a crawler does and read the raw HTML your server sends, before any JavaScript runs. If your text only exists once the browser assembles it, those crawlers get a blank page, and nothing on your screen would ever reveal it.
What you get back
A short document, not a forty-page PDF
It is written to be read once, straight through, by the person who decides.
- A short document in plain English, written so you can act on it without a developer sitting next to you
- Two or three fixes you can make yourself this week, each with the exact page and the exact element named
- Everything else ranked by what it costs you in lost inquiries, not by how hard it is to build
- Screenshots and timings, so you can check every claim we make instead of trusting it
- What three competitors do on their sites that you do not
- One follow-up email. No sequence behind it.
How it runs
From your URL to your report
You send a URL
Your site address, an email, one line about what you sell. No admin access, no logins, no plugin to install. We look at your site from the outside, exactly as your buyers and the crawlers do.
Our tool sweeps the site
It crawls your pages, records load times, reads the HTML your server returns and maps how the site is put together. It is the same tool we run on our own prospects, which is what makes the exercise cheap enough to give away.
An engineer reads the output
No report leaves without a human pass. The tool ranks problems by severity. A senior engineer reranks them by what they cost your business, deletes the ones that do not matter to you, and signs the result.
You get it back
By email, within one business day. If your site runs to several hundred pages, we tell you the real timing when the request comes in. What you do next is entirely your call.
Honest limits
What this audit will not tell you
It measures access and experience. Reputation and demand sit outside its reach.
A site can be fast, readable by every crawler on the list, and still never get cited, because nothing else on the web mentions you. Assistants lean heavily on what other people say about a company rather than on what the company says about itself. We can see that gap from the outside. Closing it is a different job, and a much slower one.
Two more blind spots, stated up front. We cannot see your CRM, so if leads arrive and then die somewhere in your follow-up, the audit will come back clean while the real leak sits behind it. And nobody outside the model companies knows exactly how an AI assistant picks its sources. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you something, and that includes us on the day we say it.
FAQ
Questions we get asked
Where to go next
- Website designStarting from nothing, or from a site you would rather not defend? Here is how we build.
- React developmentIf the audit points at the build itself, this is the team that rewrites it.
- AI automationLeads arriving but nobody following up? The fix is usually plumbing, not design.
- PricingWhat projects cost, in ranges, before you ever talk to us.
